Photograph these works to keep a record of your sketch!
STEP 1 - Collect stones that change color when wet or dry. Look in creek river beds and around bodies of water. Keep an eye open when it rains, your next fishing trip or picnic at the park.
STEP 2 - Find some fur. It can be from a craft store, or if your brave your own hair! You can also use wool, cotton, or other fiber materials. Use resin or a hot glue gun to attach them to twigs and branches. Assemble different sized brushes. Keep one for fine details, and another for large surface areas.
STEP 3 - Get inspired! Observe and find some motivation. Maybe you want to practice letter-making or in the case of the photograph above, a clover design!
STEP 4 - Photograph your design and print it! You don't have to print it though, this is mostly about seeing what you can do with water, a brush, your hands and a stone. You can do this almost anywhere. Don't you feel empowered? I do!
Try racing, and timed drawings. You can even play games with your tools!
