Illustration, typography, and print design all in one! Ah, the art of presentation a.k.a. packaging.
Notice the graphite illustration of the mountains. The treatment of space, and elegant lettering while expressing characteristics of simplicity, understatement, and modernity make this label enticing to consumers. Sophistication without the pretension. This is a New Zealand design. I'd prefer a Pinot Noir, if it hadn't been for my years of design experience I would have left the store twenty bucks poorer.
Try out your own labels. Examine and compare the things you buy yourself. Look around your house, and pay attention to what draws your attention in the store. Where are things placed at? Eye level? What kind of font are they using? Does it have serifs, or not? What kind of colors, or lack thereof are being used? Marketing and design are an art-form, right there on the cusp of science.
