I told you I was working on a book! So, I'll keep updates on the process as I get along. As I complete each page, I'll post the finished typography and layout. So, the story will be here as it gets designed. When I finish, I'm going to take my design over to Swifty Print, on some ecologically responsible forest stewardship certified paper, and bind myself a book. And then once I have onc, I'll make two, and then three... and so forth. Which will inevitably lead to a gallery show, or booth at a zine or illustration show.
Also, look for the new "Footprints" logo for my publishing activities. At the end, I hope to have a bar-code for purchase on Amazon. There's a book store in Chicago I'd like to sell my work to.
I plan on translating this Icelandic tale into Icelandic and German to start, and then Swedish and Norwegian. I want to go over this with my tutor because I play with tense, and voice. It's important that comes through in the final draft. I don't want third person where there should be first, or past tense where there should be present.
Ég er að looking fyrir publisher í Íslandi!
