Cascarones. Like piñatas, Japanese lanterns that fly up into the sky, like Peruvian floral carpets, and Tibetan mandalas; all impermanent forms of art.
1.) Use a screwdriver to bash a hole in each opposite side of an egg; top and bottom.
2.) Blow the contents of the egg out into bowl. Use those eggs for crepes, omelettes, or quiche.
3.) Dry the eggs.
4.) Prepare tissue paper for the inside confetti and outside of the egg. Choose colored tissue paper if you like or prepare some gouache.
5.) Fill the egg with small things like confetti and toys.
6.) Apply glue to the tissue paper and outside of the egg.
8.) Crack over the head of your friends at a party or gathering.
You may want to form piñatas too with the tissue paper!
